Introducing FACT 2011 Speaker: Justice Court Judge Rickey W. Thompson
Judge Rickey W. Thompson is a Lee County Justice Court/Drug Court Judge, Verona Municipal Court Judge and a Certified LPN. He currently conducts judicial activity such as overseeing court proceedings, confirming probable cause, ruling on appropriate bail and/or conditions of release, setting dates for court hearings, and imposing sentences.
His FACT 2011 Session “Drug Courts-Changing The Trend in Criminal Justice” will address and identify the underlying goals, composition and process of Lee County Drug Court. Local drug courts are a fairly new and highly successful program that combines drug treatment with the structure and authority of the judge can effect lasting change in the lifestyle and behavior of participants, their families and our community.
